I have no idea where it all started, but Valentines Day has never been only for lovers as long as I've been alive.

Remember the decorated shoe boxes? Those boxes may have been part of what got us all crafting today!

We even made our own valentines and glued together the envelopes. And they had nothing to do with Disney or any other movie tie in.

Yea, there are some romantic celebrations mixed in between here and there. But who is more likely to appreciate the beauty of the festivities, your best friend? or your husband?

If you threw a fancy party, who would be more likely to notice the linens?

The majolica dishes?

The lacy napkins and fancy tablecloth?

Thank goodness there's always some lovely lady friends to lavish the good stuff on!

My Hubby is a darling, and really would notice, and yours probably would too. But your daughters, or your workmates would love a little surprise spread like this, and the details would not go un-noticed.

A while back, Debra at Common Ground posted about a bottle of Coppola sparkling wine that she got as a gift. Just a beautiful bottle that was also used in the current Victoria magazine. When I was tracking it down I also discovered these fun tiny cans of the bubbly that Francis produced for his daughter Sofia's wedding. Well what else would you expect from a movie producer/wine maker?

They come in a four pack. Expensive. You'll want a really special occasion (like love) to break them out. But the girls will love you for it!

There's a cute little straw attached to the side that makes them perfect for a romantic picnic. I haven't had so much fun photographing anything this shiney since Christmas!
